How long do the rubber tires or poly wheels last?

Generally the tires or wheels on a Trikke CV will go several hundred miles before they need replacing. However, it depends on your riding style. If you’re a casual rider and not doing aggressive deep carves then you will naturally get a lot more miles out of your wheels. If you’re an aggressive rider who likes to get down and carve deep regularly then you will get less miles on a set of tire or poly wheels. It’s just like a car, if you drive fast and aggressive then you will wear your tires out more frequently. If you drive conservatively then you will get the max life on your tread.

Can you climb hills with the Trikke Carving Vehicle?

Absolutely! To climb hills with a Trikke takes practice. It’s all in the timing and technique. The key is practice, practice, practice….oh yeah, and determination. Watch the video’s and see the techniques being used. It’s really all about timing. If you’re timing is off just a little bit then it will impact your forward momentum drastically. One thing to try after several unsuccessful hill climb attempts is to find even a bigger hill. Once you practice on a steeper hill and get a ways up it then go back to the little hill and it will be a piece of cake! Same as anything we do; if we let the little things defeat us then we’ll never conquer the bigger ones. Once we conquer the bigger ones the little ones are a breeze.

Why can’t I go up a slight incline on my Trikke CV?

It’s all timing and technique. The smaller inclines may prove difficult in the first few rides and maybe even for the first few weeks. With the Trikke CV it takes time to really become efficient at making it go. The more you ride the easier it gets. Stay determined and if one technique isn’t working then try another.

Is there a limit on how steep of a hill you can climb?

Yes, there is a limit on how steep of a hill you can make the Trikke CV climb. Each person will be different on the grade they can conquer but you can climb some really steep hills if you’re in shape and have your timing and technique down.

How far is an average ride on a Trikke CV?

It varies with each person. But I’d say that the average rider who rides 2 to 3 times a week regularly will ride between 8 and 15 miles on each ride. There are some who ride 2 to 3 times a week and will go 30 or 40 miles per ride.

What is the worlds record distance for a single ride?

The last I heard there was a guy in Italy that rode a straight 41 hours and rode approximately 360 miles. I can’t even imagine doing that! There are several in the US that have ridden 100 miles in a single ride that took about 10 1/2 hours. Doing a 100 miles in a single ride is called a “Century Ride”. This is the same for both Trikke and the bike.

What kind of workout do I get?

The Trikke CV is one of the best workouts you can get. It’s no impact just muscle and joint exercise is a great way to get fit and stay fit. It’s also a great weight loss product burning hundreds of calories.

Is the Trikke CV a good cardio-vascular workout?

Absolutely! It does depend on how much you put into your on how much of a cardio workout you will get. For most, just a moderate pace on the Trikke gets the cardio-pulmonary system working in a suitable and safe level. Consult with your doctor if you have any health issues, questions or concerns about the Trikke and your workout routine.

Is there any impact on your body or joints?

The Trikke Carving Vehicle is as no-impact of a workout as you can get. You’re simply moving your body in rhythm with your lower and upper body therefore moving all the muscles and joints in between.

Why choose a Trikke CV over a bike?

It’s a matter of preference. We won’t be so bold to make the statement that the Trikke CV is the only way to go. It all depends on what you’re looking for in a human powered vehicle.

What maintenance is required?

There isn’t a whole lot of maintenance. Because the pneumatic wheels are high pressure and low volume it makes it necessary to check the air pressure about every 7 to 10 days. All the Trikke CV models will require a periodic lubrication.

How long is the warranty?

All Trikke CV models come with a 12 month warranty against manufacturer defects.
